"MAAFUSHI" the movie!

Confirmed reports from MDP states that some MDP memberes have held a meeting with some Sri Lankans at the MDP office, about making a movie about "September 11th" and the death of Ivan Naseem. Reeko Moosa have been flying back and forth between Male' and Colombo for a past couple of weeks talking to several Maldivian Film Makers as well. The actor for the movie was going to be "Backbone Mahir". Recently he had talks with TEDRY, one of the most prominent film makers in the country. but the meeting did not go well. The main reason for poeple refusing to help is because Reeko moosa wants to be the director and he wants to be the head of this project. The other main reason being that the movie portrays Ivan Naseem a a heroe and well all know he is the last person we would want to be a hero.
Although Go Go Latheef and Reeko Moosa have not given up hope, the chances of the movie being made are faint, since now they have to hire film makers from abroad and have to have a big budget for the movie. Now it seems like they are running on a very tight budget after the departure of Gasim Ibrahim and other key financers for all MDP operations.
