Annie's House Arrest Extended
Ismail Rifau, Political Correspondent

Male’, Maldives, 29th January 2006 (olhuala.com) – The judge presiding over Mohamed Nasheed’s (Annie) trial has extended Nasheed’s house arrest until the end of the trial. Nasheed tried to rattle the judge by shouting abuse at him, and stated that he preferred jail.

Sources within the MDP inform olhuala.com that the MDP might ‘retaliate’ to the court’s decision by calling on its members to come out on the streets in protest.
