The MDP's propaganda machinery go into overdrive to politicise the tragic death of gangland victim.
The boy's name was Fahud Abdulla, he was only 12 years of age.
He was not the target of the bandeyrikoshi gang. He also fled the scene with Male' Hiyaa gang members.
But was caught by the Bandeyrikoshi gang.
He was then severely beaten.
He was found unconscious in front of Hazash Mart shop.
He never regained consciousness and died in the ICU at IGM hospital.
Male’, Maldives, 4th February 2006 (www.olhuala.com) – A young man by the name of Fahud who was involved in a gang fight on Thursday night died due to his injuries in IGMH hospital today.
It is reported that this fight took place between gangs from Male' Hiyaa and Bandeyrikoshi.
News sources are reporting that Maldivian Democratic Party officials are trying to politicise this sad event.
It is also reported that Fahud's guardians appealed to the MDP leader Ibrahim Ismail for funds to pay for medical bills. It is reported that Ibra refused to help them out at that stage.
Rumours say that the Male' Hiyaa gang is planning an attack on Bandeyrikoshi to avenge their members death.
