MDP Cabinet Evaluation

1) Ibrahim Ismail, 43 yrs. A sociopath with a University degree and the gift of the gab. By own admission a firebrand. Speaks with a forked tongue. Seeks to appease western minds by posturing reasonableness and feigned indignation. Seeks to incite locals when he speaks in Dhivehi, using language that would be too foul even for the gutter. Abuses everyone in authority, from parents to principals, and now to presidents. Has been taking medication for chronic depression. Uses and abuses people who place their trust in him. Ask those who have been ripped off by Mandhu Learning Centre. Mired in corruption as well-- numerous contracts were awarded to himself duirng his stint at the education ministry. Used his position to secure a scholarship for his wife to study year abroad in Australia. An Iago if ever a Maldivian fit that label. A sweet talking Iago.
2) Ibrahim Hussain Zaki, 62 yrs. No formal education beyond O/Level, but plays the role of Professor. The great Liar, a swindler and philanderer. Utterly corrupt and untrustworthy. As tourism minister, rigged the bids of 14 new resort islands and had to be assigned other duties. As planning minister, stole shares in the biggest hotel venture in the Maldives, and was kicked from the Cabinet. There is nothing too low for Zaki for a buck or shot at office. Thief and hoax. The most charming con man you would ever find. Wants to hang Gayoom for excluding him from the 2003 Cabinet and instead offering him to lead the Human Rights Commission.
3) Sikka Ahmed Ismail Maniku, 67, to be named as Defence Minister. Man loves guns, bombs, bazookas, guerillas, mercenaries, terrorists, drug trafficking, money luandering, kidnapping, hostage taking and spine-chiling cold blooded murder. Is mad with Ilyas Ibrahim for nicking his childhood sweetheart. Total psychotic. In 1971, he was convicted for the attempted murder of the then President Nasir. Was released by Gayoom when he took office. He was later convicted for the murder of 25 women, children and men in a day's carnage in 1988. Was setenced to death by the High Court. Sentence was commuted to life imprisonment by Gayoom. Pardoned by Gayoom just four years later on appeal for clemency on grounds of poor health. Lives in Colombo and dreams of personally mutilating and disemboweling top Government members.
3) Hassan Afeef, 59 yrs. No formal education beyond O/Level. Failed all subjects at O/Level. Entered politics on the goodwill of the people towards his father. Stole consignments of water during the relief phase of tsunami. A real thug with no intellectual ability. Nurses an inveterate hatred towards all authority. Harbours personal grudge against former Atoll Minister. Speaks of skinning him alive. Hates the speaker Ahmed Zahir and Buruma Qasim on a losing business deal many decades ago. After Ibra, possibly the most cruel member of the MDP shadow gang.
4) Aminath Jameel or "Doctor of Death", 60 yrs. Comes from the Jameel clan, but a slow leaner, having acquired her PhD in over 20 years of work. Runs an old people's home which is a money laundering racket for Sikka. She is tied hand and foot to the mob, as she is Sikka's sister-in-law and owes heaps of personal debts to Sikka.
5) Mariya Ahamed Didi, 47 yrs. Uk educated ex-wife of swindler, Sato, who embezzled millions of dollars from poor fishermen in the late 1980s. Mariya nurses a personal grudge against Gayoom because the 32-year old Dr Hassan Saeed was chosen over her to become the Attorney General. She was introduced to politics by Gayoom and was elected to her current seat through her links to the First Lady. But she has succumbed to pressures from Anni and others to smear her with a full expose of the FPID scandal. Sato is the brother of the MDP thug, Makun Falah, and had recently paid large sums of money to Mariya as incentive to defect to MDP. Mariya is sister-in-law to both Foreign Minister Dr Shaheed and MDP financier, Rado Zahir.
6) Mavotta Ibrahim Shareef, 60 yrs, the Ripper. No formal education beyond GCE. Crashed in all subjects except English at O/level. No experience in any job. Rose to notoriety over attempt to bribe a father of a young girl with a huge wad of money in 1975. Despite such lucrative financial inducements, the marriage was aborted when the girl learned that he was a swindler without a penny. Infamous for wheeling and dealing and owing huge debts. His greatest fright is in fact not DRP, but the repo man, who might take away all his mortgaged property. Most recently he has been campaigning in the country trying to convince everyone to default on credits and loans, so that he would not have to go to jail for his own debts. When he failed to win a seat in MDP elections, he sought to cross over to DRP, but was flatly rejected by the DRP. Under investigation for evasion of customs revenue through forged documents.
7) Reeko Moosa Maniku, 55. No education at all. Brother of former coup leader, Reeko Ibrahim Maniku, who is still on the run abroad. Spend most of his youthful years as a greaser on a Greek ship, and later became an actor in low-budget movies. Has the gift of the gab but without any intellectual ability, is a firebrand who dwells in the gutter. Has tried every trick in the book to swindle foreigners and locals in a bid to get rich quick. His latest trick being to defoliate whole islands, buying from poor locals for paltry sums of money and selling to foreigners at 1000 times the price paid to locals! He has claimed parliamentary immunity to refuse to respond to court summons on to hear petitions by islanders who had been cheated. At one time, Reeko worked on a farm owned by the Commissioner of Police.
8) Mohamed Ibrahim Didi, or Modi, 58 years. No formal education beyong O/Level. Crashed all subjects sat for the GCE exam. Strange that in a country going through an explosion of university graduates, people with no formal schooling should even want to take the role of leaders. Especially when Gayoom's got the most educated Cabinet in the history of the country, if not any where in the world! Moreover, to a man, everyone in the Shadow Cabinet is old enough to be the father of their counterpart in the DRP government. Except Mariya, who is too young to be Dr Saeed's father, but old enough, by 15 years, to make him her toyboy! People like Modi, Afeef, Zaki, Reeko will not even qualify to enter the civil service today-- as they would require to have passed GCE English to join as an Office Assistant!
8) Dr Mohamed Waheed Hassan Maniku, 63 yrs. Good man, educated, smart, cultured and experienced. But what's a nice guy like you doing in a dump like this? After all, you are the only person in the MDP top echelons who might pass a pyschiatric evaluation!
