It is obvious that MDP leadership are idiots. Zaki, Mody, Jesus, Reeko, Mavotta are people who have not even passed their OL subjects. So it is not surprising that they do not have a good understanding of liberal democratic principles and practices. Little do they realise that they do not have a moral case for starting a civil disobedience campaign!
Zaki has spent forty years in government service hiding behind secrecy laws to force young female staff to go on dirty weekends with him and to skim off heaps of public funds. He was penniless when Gayoom appointed him as the SAARC Secretary General. In the next three years he amassed enough wealth so that when he was appointed the Tourism Minister, the first thing that he did was open up a Swiss Bank account, invest in the London Stock Market and take a second wife. Now that Gayoom has dismissed him, Zaki has pledged to drag Gayoom down the streets of Male and kill his entire family.
In this Zaki is advised by his former partner in crime, ex-Cabinet colleague, Munawwar, who got his PhD and other degrees in Moscow, during the Brezhnev era. Equally corrupt as Zaki, Munavvar married his secretary after an adulterous relationship halfway across the world, and since his dismissal from the Cabinet has been scheming the death of Gayoom and his family. He has been busy passing on the revolutionary skills that he had acquired in Red Russia, such as making Molotov cocktails for young druggies in Male'. He also tells people daily on how the Bolsheviks murdered Czar Nicholas and his family and glorifes that bloody deed daily.
Then there is Mariya, who was expelled from school for moral conduct unbecoming of a 15 year old girl. She went on to marry Sato, the thief who acquired property in Male illegally and stole millions of dollars off poor fishermen in the 1980s. It is believed that Sato's stolen money is invested in properties and businesses and stocks all over the world in Mariya's name as an insurance against the wealth been repossessed by the State. Mariya has joined her former tormentors, Ahmed Abbas and Anni who called for the imprisonment and torture of Sato, in a bid to ensure that MDP will not expose her scandalous conspiracy and collusion in hiding stolen funds owned by her and Sato. MDP has agreed not to condemn either Sato or Mariya's collusion if she joined MDP. Mariya and Sato want Gayoom to pay the price for calling for an investigation of the Sato scandal. Notorious for lusting after young boys, she was recently attacked by an angry mob of young women of Addu while trying to make out with somebody's husband.
Then there is the blacksheep of the Jameel family, Aminath Jameel. Not the brightest of the Jameel clan,she, together with the other dimwit Jameel, Jadulla, joined MDP and took arms against her brothers Fathulla Jameel and Abdulla Jameel, and her nephew, Mauroof and niece Zahiya. It is well known that it was she who stole personal photos of the former Foreign Minister Jameel and gave it to Dhivehi Observer. One wonders how one in the Jameel clan can justify calling for civil action against the government when in fact the Jameel clan are indeed the government? But the penny drops when you recall the Aminath is in fact more a Sikka than a Jameel. She does Sikka's bidding like a lap dog to a master. She had approached Dr Saeed recently expressing interest in joining the Cabinet in July but she failed to impress Dr Saeed and failed to make the Dream Team Cabinet constituted by Gayoom in July. Aminath has been stoutly defending the cold blooded murder of 25 civilians by Sikka on Bloody Thursday on 3 rd November 1988, saying that those poor "sods deserved" to die!
Ibra is a pyschotic case. He is smarter than either Munawwar or Zaki. He has even outwitted Anni and Waheed. But these are all frogs in the same pond. Ultimately, even he has to appease the nasty and bloody monster that is called MDP -- the murderous Sikka who lives in Colombo. And Sikka wants Gayoom dead. He wants the whole Cabinet dead. He also wants Gasim, Hilmy and Deen dead. He wants the resorts. This was the plan of 1988. The plan remains, the lust remains, the hunger remains. Sikka wants the seas of the Maldives turned read with the blood of Maldivians. He cares nought even if his own party foot soldiers died trying to shed blood in the Maldives. He had champagne celebrations when Evan Naseem was killed!
Sikka earlier hired Sri Lankan thugs and terrorists and failed in 1988. Now he has hired white people-- David Hardingham and his coterie of lefties. They have a plan of direct action to topple the government. They will fail too! Sikka hopes that the government will use heavy handed methods against those who create disruption. He is wrong.
People power will destroy MDP's campaign of strikes. Political strikes and coercive strikes are not protected in many countries, even in the west. In the Maldives, if MDP wants to establish the right to strike, they will find that the public will want to establish the right to counterstrike. Rado Zahir will find that his businesses are disrupted. So will Le Cute. So will Allora. So will all buisness connected to MDP financiers. MDP should not be so narcissistic that they fail to see that other's have rights too! There will be a measure for measure, tit for tat, boot for boot, foul for foul, strike for strike, picket for picket! Eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth is the only language that MDP will understand! And it falls fairly and squarely within the realm of justice and fairness!
There is no moral justification for a political strike. The reforms are being implemented. Frankly, MDP has never had a role in the reform process. Now they are just digging their own grave. The government should not negotiate with hostage takers, arsonists, law-breakers and Sikka-funded terrorists.
The government should uphold the law and protect democracy against the vile monsters like Sikka.
Ibra has just started to dig their grave. We should let them dig their grave deep enough for all of them to lie in there. The country would still be multiparty even without MDP. It is evident that Zaki, Munavvar, Aminath Jameel, Mariya, Modi, Mavotta, Reeko, Jesus, are not the political future of the Maldives. They are a blast from the past, and should exit from the political scene, and go live with Sikka, the Butcher of Maldives.
